Treatment would depend upon the cause. So its important for us to first investigate the problem and find out the cause of these cysts.
We need a little more information:
- Are these lumps painful?
- Do they grow big or rupture at some point?
- What kind of fluid do they seem to contain?
Feel free to answer them in the comments below.
Common Causes of Multiple Cysts
Familial Multiple Lipomatosis
This is a condition where small cysts made up of fatty (adipose) tissue keep erupting all over the body. They can occur anywhere – over the trunk, neck, back. However, they rarely affect the hands.
These cysts are not harmful in any way. They do not grow. They are not cancerous. The only treatment possible to stop their growth is a healthier lifestyle, that includes-
- Avoid eating fatty food.
- Eat more of fresh fruits and vegetables.
- Avoid caffeinated drinks for some time.
- Do any form of light exercises daily.
- Cleanse your body everybody with any mild soap.
Slowly, you may find a reduction in their occurrence and finally get rid of them totally.
This is another possibility. Here cystic swellings erupt over inflamed joints. For example, over the wrist or elbow. As a joint becomes inflamed, fluid accumulates around it. This expresses out itself as a cyst.
You may need to go to a doctor for examination of these lesions. Only after actual examination, an exact diagnosis would be possible.
There’s a fancy name for the condition, Von Reckilinghausen’s Disease. The condition is characterized by the presence of multiple firm, painless nodular lumps all over the body.
Here, fibrous tissues get accumulated around the nerves of the body, giving rise to these benign tumors. They may occur over the back, neck, belly, trunk and other regions.
These growths are not cancerous, however, there are chances that they gradually turn cancerous. As such, they look ugly and may reduce self esteem.
The disease process may also affect the bones and eyes. Early diagnosis and management are recommended.
A collection of fatty cells which lies just under the skin may be called a lipoma. It’s very commonly seen.
If you’ve gained considerable amount of weight in a short period, and you’ve developed a few soft, movable, rounded swellings any where over your body, these are likely to be lipomas.
Getting rid of them is simple. Loose weight and revert back to a healthier eating schedule.
Have you noticed some people have firm bumps just under their skin at various places? They may be present over arms, forearms, legs or else where. These may be fibromas.
These bumps give no symptom at all. You may not be able to see them, unless they’re quite big. They can be felt when touched with fingers.
Fibromas are benign tumors that are composed chiefly of fibrous tissue. It may also have other components of connective tissue, depending upon its location.
