First of all, you should keep your face skin non-greasy and clean. For that avoid applying greasy lotions or creams. Also clean your face twice a day with gentle soap and mildly dab with towel. This will remove excess oil and dirt from face. Shampoo your  hair on a regular basis, especially if they are oily. Comb your hair in a way that they are away and do not cover your face.

Avoid touching your cheeks with your fingers. Keep your nails trim. Don’t scratch, squeeze or rub your pimples even if you have an urge to do so, since it may cause infection and pus formation and resultant scarring.

If simple measures fail to help and if you have excessive pimples that do not respond then you may need to consult a skin doctor (dermatologist).
