Red Itchy Infected Genital Pimple
Q: I am a 57 year old female. I’ve had vagina pimple for a week now. It is red, itching, burning, swollen and festered. I know it’s not STD because my husband and I have been married for 39 years, and are very faithful to one another. We are also Christians and don’t believe in cheating. What should I do? Can this be treated at home?

Your vaginal pimple sounds infected now. That is the reason they are red, itchy and have pus. Topical antibiotic treatment with proper cleaning of the area is required.

I have pimples in my vaginal and they always want me to rub them. Sometimes they are very painful. How can I treat them?
Keep the area down there clean and dry. Use plain water for cleaning. Soaps or gel can render the mucosa dry and cause itching. Wear loose cotton underwear to assure that the region is well ventilated and free from moisture.
Moisturize the vaginal area, including the vaginal lips and surroundings, before bedtime with a vaginal moisturizer (available over the counter).
For the itchiness, allegra ointment may be applied over the affected area for 4 to 5 days.
Keep the area clean and dry. Apply some lubricant over the rashes, they may be due to dryness.
You may use allegra ointment over them.
