You require to get evaluated further. We need to know the reason for your bulky uterus and those cysts in the ovary.

Cysts commonly develop in the ovary by your age. However, the bulkiness of the uterus suggests that something abnormal is going on there, which may be thickening the uterine linings.

It may be a condition called endometriosis. Here, the normal uterine lining of the uterus starts growing outside the uterine cavity, like in the ovary , in the adnexa etc.

With each menses, this endometrial lining also bleeds , just like the one inside the uterus. This lead to collection of fluid in adnexa and cysts in the affected ovary.

The condition is painful. The patient also complains of a bulky feeling in the groin.

You may need a D&C. Tissue from the uterus would be taken for examination. After a diagnosis of the condition is made, treatment can be started.

Also, you may get your CA 125 blood levels checked for diagnosis.

Endometriosis is a common gyne problem. You need to see a gynecologist for this.

The doctor would give you some medicines to be taken for 3 to 6 months. Most patients get completely cured after taking those medicines.

Doctor, I am 34. Had 3 miscarriages. Recently, I did a scan that shows the endometrial plate is moderately thickened. Noted at the left adnexium is a circumscribed anechoic area (cyst) measuring 35mmx34mm in dimension. There is no fluid collection in the pouch of Douglas. Non-gravid anteverted uterus measuring 56mmx49mm41mm in longitudinal, transverse and AP diameters respectively. Can it prevent me from getting pregnant? What can I take because I need to have my kids?

Have you seen a gyne for this? You may have to go for a D&C.

The thickening of the endometrium indicates that there is some pathology going on. Some hormonal problem is likely to be related.

This needs to be investigated. Your doctor may want to do what is called dilatation and curettage. Here, the endometrium is scrapped and a sample tissue is taken for investigation.

The condition is very likely to interfere with both, conception and pregnancy. You need to get it treated first, before planning conception.
