Q: I am 16 years old girl. I usually clean and shave my vagina daily. Now it became reddish and paining a lot. While sleeping I was peeing. What happened?

Pain and redness in the area indicate that there is a probability of some infection.  Read about proper shaving techniques of the vaginal area.

May be you have some kind of urinary tract infection. Do you have any other symptom like urge to urinate, increased frequency or pain during urinating?

Other Causes of Bedwetting

  • It is possible to urinate in a state of deep sleep. Such incidences are usually one time and may not occur again.
  • May be you didn’t pee before going to bed. Over stretching of the urinary bladder made you urinate in bed at night.
  • UTI or urinary tract infections
  • A scary dream during sleep may make you peeing this way.
  • Having too much of caffeinated drinks like tea, coffee or soft drinks.
  • Are you taking any medicine? Some medicines make the bladder over active and may lead to such symptoms.

Sir, last night when I was sleeping I just passed my urine on the bed and after that I woke up. I wanna ask is that normal or it’s happening due to some problems. My age is 14 and my weight is 86 kg.

This is not normal. There has to be a reason for it.

Read above about common causes in your age group, which may lead to such a symptom.

If it is one time, you may let it go. However, if you observe recurrent bed wetting, it would be better to see a urologist.

Hi, I have problems with my acne on my face. I have hyper pigmentation and I’ve tried many different products over the course of my life including ones prescribed by my doctor. Some I haven’t tried were pills or natural facial cleansers. Though I’m not even determined to try those options out anymore since I haven’t had much progress from so many other products.

How much area is covered due to hyperpigmentation? Did you have any skin disease or inflammation there before? How did it happen?

Appears to be a hormonal problem? Have you got your hormonal levels checked up?

Can you describe the pattern of pigmentation. Since when do you have them? Any itch over them?

Hi! I woke up early because I felt that I pee on the bed, btw I am 16 y/o. What are the possible reason why it happened? It is my first time to experience that as a teenager. What can I do to prevent it from happening again??

I don’t recall having a problems like this before. And last night I just ate midnight snacks and drink lots of water.

Since it’s one time, we may ignore the event. May be you drank too much of water before sleep. Since you were fast asleep, your bladder lost control.

However, if it happens again, evaluation may be required.

I recently suffered a occipital and temporal stroke, while laying on a couch I fell asleep upon wakening I found I had peed a great amount on the couch why could this happen as I felt I wasn’t really sound asleep as I could hear the tv.

Such events may occur after stroke. Need not worry if it doesn’t happen again.

If such an event recurs, you’ll need to get yourself evaluated. Muscles controlling the sphincter down there seemed to have got relaxed for some time. As you may understand, these sphincters are tightly controlled via our nerves. They normally work under our control. Cause why this control was lost needs to be investigated.

I have some what of a problem I can’t find any information for it or what causes it And it has happened a few times. When asleep I go into a very lucid dream state where I need to relieve myself I start to and I instantly wake but in a dream, locked into sleep paralysis I’m fully aware I’m awake but I’m in a dream and can not get up until I relive myself some what even if I hold it in until it becomes painful and I only come out of sleep paralysis after I allow myself to go I’ve never suffered from sleep paralysis before and it only happens during these events. It’s possible it is a neurological problem but I’m not sure how it is considering I’m fully aware that I need to get up and go but unable to. Some other information possibly tied to it would be that I’ve had tachycardia since I was 13 I saw a cardiologist who told me there was nothing wrong but later got a call from the head of the hospital telling me he lied and that my heart was harding.

I woke up to my bed being wet after peeing in it. I always can feel when I have to go but I don’t remember what happened this time or if I was in a deep sleep.

Hello, I am 34 years of age.. It doesn’t happen often but already twice this total in count and once last year have I experienced bedwetting while in a deep sleep is when this seems to occur. This has happened multiple times before, but not frequently. It would be like a potential once a year type of thing. I’m not sure what’s causing this, but I can say it seems to be a combination of me drinking excessive water at night before I go to bed, and being in a deep sleep when it happens.

Are you taking any medicine, drugs or drinking excessively? Any history of constipation, stress or any other disease condition?

Nope, no disease, no medications, and no constipation. I tend to drink plenty of water. I have been drinking a lot of pop (soda) recently as of late and whenever I do, I piss like a race horse. And I experience like a deep sleep at least twice a year. I also sometimes drink excessive water and maybe other soft drinks prior to sleeping around those times.. normally I’ll just wake up and go to the rest room.. however, when I’m in a deep sleep I truly believe it’s one of those things where my bladder just can’t handle that pressure during the deep sleep.

Also, in addition to what I wrote previously because I didn’t answer your second question accurately. I did have a small history of constipation in my mid 20’s. That’s around the time I wasn’t drinking enough water or fluids and it’s also when I started drinking water more seriously.

Maybe, just avoiding drinking too much of fluids from two hours before bedtime would solve your problem. Just take sips of water to quench your thirst. Also, restrain intake of soda and alcoholic beverages after evening, as they are known diuretics.

Doesn’t sound like any disease or pathology, otherwise.
