Pimples in Teenage
Q: I am a 14 year old girl and I have had pimples on my vagina for the past couple of years. I have tried a bunch of things to try and get the pimples go away, but nothing seems to be working. I have also recently told my mom and my doctor. The doctor said not to shave down there and to wear sleep shorts and loose cotton undies, but still nothing seems to be working. I am also not sexually active, so I’m pretty sure it isn’t an STD. Any help?

Acne or pimples are extremely common in your age group. As any where else in the body, they occur in the vaginal area too.
It’s a good idea not to shave down there. This is so because, commonly girls injure their pimples while shaving. This further complicates the situation by causing infection.
Wearing loose cotton underwears is also important. Try doing warm compresses twice a day. This technique is quite helpful in treating acne in this region.

Hi doctor I’m below the age of 16 so I’m not sexually active and I had this spot or pimple in my vagina like on the labia minora part, like in the fold of my vagina on the right side and i have had it before but it went away and now it’s been like a month or two and it’s came back this time a bit more sore and hurts a bit more than before, I’m scared of what it is so I did research on the internet and it said it could be cancer which really did scare me because I’m young yet and I hate going to the doctors it’s my worst nightmare, I also have acne on my back I have acne and lumps on my back which one specific spot is like a lump on the left side of my back because it’s inside the skin and like a lump, my arms and face and my chest(breast) area have acne so please doctor help me out.
I have pimples on my breast but I did have afew specific pimples on my breast like one was under the breast (under the coloured part on my left breast)and kind of swollen and popped and blood came out so I put bandage on it, some are inside the skin of my left and right breast, some are lump like spots I did research again it says it could be breast cancer but I’m young yet wich scared me again and I really don’t want to go to the doctors as I said before. I had a lump inside my right earlobe you could feel it and it wasn’t painful at all but just recently I got one in my left earlobe but just below the lobe and this one was a little more painful.
Overall doc I am a teenager and I’m a mess so pls help me out because I really don’t want to go to the doctors, twice I did go to the doctors they gave me something for my bacne and face and it didn’t work so I gave up with doctors…pls help me doc in anyway just give me some information on what I could do or use, I’m really insecure as well doc because I had like fat on my liver so I was a little overweight for my age I lost a little and recently I’ve put afew more pounds on so I look a little more chubby on my thighs,belly and I don’t know what to do so pls doc if u can help me.
I’m sorry for saying all of this like this it’s just I don’t like to tell anyone about my like ‘private part spots,lumps’ my family obviously know I have acne but I have no one else to go to about these kinds of things like I just told you doc so I’m glad I found a doc here because I didn’t want to go to the doctors so yes doc pls help me I’m a teenager who’s really lost and needs help with her body from an expert thank you doc I hope you can help with everything I just told you.
The one over the labia is also likely to be a pimple. Very unlikely to be cancer.
You appear to be having an acne outbreak. This may be related to your lifestyle, diet or else may be a hormonal issue. Let us know if you’re getting regular menses or not.

Ok thank you doctor I get my menses regularly like I just started afew days ago and about to finish tommorrow.

Have you been to a doctor for investigating the cause?
Nope doc I don’t like going to the doctors but the spot on my vagina is kind of gone now I don’t feel it that much.
Also I’ve been using detail soap on my body to dry the spots and I’ve not been using it on my vagina I’ve been using a warm cloth on their and it’s kind of been working
