Q: If a 19 year old male has experienced blood in his stool 20 times, first lightly then heavily, what can be some possible causes? Should he see a doctor immediately?

some more details like:
  • Color of blood- Is it frank red, maroon, or reddish-black
  • Amount of blood
  • Any associated symptom like- Pain in abdomen, pain while
  • passing out stools, any nausea, fever, loss of appetite.

      Needs to be physically examined for diagnosis.

      A surface swelling could be a muscular one. If inside, other symptoms need to be observed. Whether you have any digestive problems etc.
